Fall Film Series: Coming to America - Immigrant Stories: "Hester Street" (1975)
America is a "Nation of Immigrants". Each group has their own story to tell. We will be presenting five films telling these stories throughout the fall season in the library's lower level Meeting Room.
Tonight's feature: "Hester Street" (1975). A young Russian Jewish woman comes to America circa 1900 and discovers that her husband has given up the ways of the old country.
